822 - Veterans Memorial

Proudly sponsored by the Pembina County Historical Society.
North Dakota is home to over 55,000 veterans, all who have sacrificed greatly for their country, some even paying the ultimate price for freedom. North Dakotans are proud of our veterans, and the people of Pembina County have created the Veterans Memorial as a way to honor those who have given so much.
In 2015, two statue soldiers made of concrete and weighing over 1,300 points were added to the Veterans Memorial. The soldiers stand over six-feet tall and serve as a reminder to remember, respect, and celebrate our veterans. Along with the statues, you can find stone pavers, etched with names of men and women from Pembina County, who have served our country in both times of war and times of peace. Over 600 pavers have been placed at the Veteran Memorial.
