Stretching across the low hills and sprawling prairie of the Missouri River Country is the Fort Peck Indian Reservation, home to two separate American Indian nations. The Sioux divisions of Sisseton, Wahpetons, the Yanktonais, and the Teton Hunkpapa are represented here, as well as the Assiniboine bands of Canoe Paddler and Red Bottom. The Reservation, Montanas second largest, is located in the extreme northeast corner of Montana, north of the Missouri River, and was once inhabited by millions of bison migrating through the landscape.

The Fort Peck Indian Reservation is special. Historical places including tipi rings, buffalo jumps, fascinating artifacts, and sacred sites are spread across the prairie. Reservation life is steeped in tradition including annual powwows held throughout the summer months. Much of their history is shared through oral tradition, passed down from elders to youth. Native American arts and crafts and culture have been shared throughout the generations. Fort Peck Community College not only meets the education needs of the people of Fort Peck Reservation and Northeast Montana, but is also committed to the preservation and promotion of Assiniboine and Sioux Culture. At Titoka Tibi, Native American arts and crafts consisting of star quilts, beadwork, and various art pieces, bring the rich culture to you.
