The sculpture titled, Merino Rams was commissioned by none other than the Merino High School Rams who were building a new gymnasium at the time. They had to pull a bunch of elm trees for the new gym grounds so they figured they should probably put one of those elm trees to good use! When asked about this sculpture, Bradford still remembers the elm tree fondly. “The grains on this elm were phenomenal, and so many things that were surprising. Wow, I really loved that tree,” he said. “It was a beautiful piece of wood, I’m not saying the sculpture was that beautiful, but the wood sure was..” Well Bradford, we think the sculpture is super beautiful as well!
