T-I-G-E-R-S, Tigers! Made especially for the Sterling High School Tigers way back in 1986 Bradford Rhea. The majestic tiger is found sitting atop big S.H.S Letters with pillars at the base. Bradford also wrote a poem to go along with this beautiful sculpture:

“Within the shadows of devouring
Jaws, true courage can be found:
Where rivals meet with slashing claws,
True tigers stand their ground.”

Pretty impressive poetry for a sculptor… When Bradford was asked which came first, his love for sculpting or his love for poetry—he laughed saying, You know I think it was a simultaneous thing for me.. About middle school. We’re thrilled he followed his passion, and when you discover yours, follow it with true courage, and stand your ground..
